Level 1: The lowest shaping level for shapewear is like a gentle hug that provides minimal support to your contours. You can wear it ideally every day because it is primarily designed for comfort.

Level 2: Shaping Level 2 offers a bit more support while also sculpting your curves. Ideal for those who want to see a noticeable effect but don't want to sacrifice comfort.

Level 3: Shaping underwear at Level 3 shapes your body with significant compression. Specific areas of the body can be strongly sculpted, and everything is under the motto: Snatch. Important: You should not wear this underwear for too long at a time to avoid harming your body and well-being.

The Buttz Shapster is a high-waisted shapewear thong that offers Level 2 support through medium compression. This primarily shapes the stomach and waist. The shaping effect comes from us reinforcing only the front area of the Shapster, unlike many common shaping products where the entire product is reinforced. How should shaping underwear fit?

In short: Despite its shaping properties, your shaping underwear should give you a comfortable feeling. This impression of comfort on your stomach, butt, and hips is, of course, very subjective, but there are a few guidelines you can follow:

the pressure: Shaping underwear should fit snugly, but not squeeze you or cut off your air. If you find pressure marks on your skin after wearing it, it's too tight.
the fit: Your shaping underwear fits well if it doesn't slip when you move. If it rolls up, for example, the size is too small. If wrinkles develop after a short period of wear, the size is too large. However, many customers choose a smaller size to achieve a greater shaping effect. How does the Shapster fit?

Our Shapster fits true to size, so you can simply choose your usual clothing size. However, depending on your body shape, we recommend going one size down:

If you have a rounder stomach and smaller butt, choose your usual clothing size.
If you have a flatter stomach and a larger butt, we recommend going one size down.

It might be a bit surprising at first to find you have to put in a little more effort when pulling it on. This is due to the reinforced front part of the Shapster and the nylon-elastane blend, which is slightly less stretchy than you might be used to from other Buttz products. The resistance comes from the shaping effect that you'll notice on your stomach as soon as you have the panty on.

What material is a shaping panty made of?

Shaping underwear is usually characterized by a high proportion of elastane and nylon. This gives the shapewear its firmness and long-lasting shape retention. Our Shapster consists of 65% nylon and 35% elastane. The lining, i.e., the crotch layer, is made of 100% cotton.

In addition, when choosing your figure-hugging underwear, you can look for products with no seams.
