The term "Seamless Underwear" refers to lingerie that ismade without seams.The fabric for this seamless underwear can be produced from natural as well as artificial fibers.
HOW ARE SEAMLESS PANTIES MADE?
The production of seamless underwear differs significantly from panties that are produced with seams.
There are three different production methods for seamless edges:
- Circular knitting method: Circular-knitted underwear is produced in one piece using a special knitting machine. The resulting fabric is knitted like an ever-lengthening tube that has no beginning and no end – and thus no seam.
- Laser Cut method: In this method, the garments are cut from the fabric as a whole using a laser. The heat fuses the fibers at the edges, which prevents them from fraying.
- Gluing method: Seamless underwear can also be glued. The edges, which are cut from the fabric, are glued together at high temperature. This ensures that the garment retains the same flexibility at the glued overlap as on the rest of the fibers.
Some seamless underwear is made using a combination of several of the methods mentioned, while others are produced entirely using a single method. Our Buttz, for example, are produced exclusively with glued edges. With Buttz, you have glued edges at the openings of the panties, i.e. at the stomach and thighs; and also on the left and right at the hips, where the fabric meets, and where it would traditionally be sewn together, it is glued together for Buttz-Panties.
IS SEAMLESS UNDERWEAR INVISIBLE?
Let's put it this way: there is no promise of completely invisible panties. However, you can be sure that seamless underwear is the gentlest hug your bottom could ever wish for from a textile. There are no thick seams and firm hems that could dig into your skin.
However, whether your seamless underwear truly appears invisible depends on:
- your body shape: As we all know, every body looks different. Depending on how your stomach, hips, bottom, and thighs are shaped, seamless underwear can also cut in a little in some places.
In most cases, seamless underwear does not cut in, or at least significantly less than underwear with seams.
