So, attention everyone who has a Hipster or Tangster at home or is considering one: 91% of these Buttz are made of Modal. And we'll now explain why we love Modal so much. Let's go!

IS MODAL BETTER THAN COTTON OR VISCOSE?
WHAT IS MODAL?
Modal fiber consists of natural polymers and is made from cellulose. So, it is a natural fabric. Our Tangsters and Hipsters are made from beech wood, which is repurposed as a waste product from the wood industry for use as a textile for clothing. A marvel of modern textile production: how brittle wood chips become such a soft, flowing fabric.
IS MODAL SKIN-FRIENDLY?
Modal is a very skin-friendly fabric, which is especially pleasant for sensitive skin. This is partly because modal is a breathable natural fabric that is less prone to bacteria and fungi. On the other hand, modal consists of smooth fibers, is processed very finely, and thus becomes maximally soft: this reduces skin irritations. With modal underwear, you'll make your skin happy.
IS MODAL BETTER THAN COTTON OR VISCOSE?
Modal fabric is produced significantly more environmentally friendly compared to cotton or viscose, as it requires less water and energy in production. This is because modal is obtained from wood waste, so no extra plantations and resources are needed for cultivation. In addition, underwear made of modal is:
- more absorbent than viscose and cotton
- more robust than underwear made of cotton and viscose
- with good care, more durable than cotton and viscose
In summary, we can say that Modal is more than a good alternative to cotton or viscose.
WHY MODAL IN BUTTZ?
Modal has other positive properties that we want to show you:
- Very high wearing comfort: As you may have noticed, the high wearing comfort of Buttz is the most important thing for us. Every pair of underwear should feel great and accompany you comfortably through the day - including our Hipsters and Tangsters made of modal.
- Lastingly dimensionally stable: Modal underwear does not change with regular washes. It remains permanently in the shape it was in when you first took it out of the packaging.
- Very soft material: Simply the softest panties your butt will ever feel. Buttz approved!
- Doesn't wrinkle and has a natural sheen: That's right. These panties are made for glitz and glamour.
- Breathable and cooling: Especially in summer temperatures, it is pleasant to wear underwear made of natural fiber: the modal underwear gives your butt a cooling skin sensation.

HOW TO CARE FOR MODAL.
Modal fabric is very durable, with proper care. If you want to get the most out of your modal Buttz, please note the following:
Modal is sensitive once it gets wet. Therefore, especially when washing, it is important to select a gentle program and use a laundry bag. We recommend washing at ideally 30 °C and a maximum of 40 °C, and not using fabric softener. And please do not iron, but who irons underwear anyway?
